It is hard to come up with an excuse for buying this shirt, when I already owned to Venezuela shirt, both matchworn. But somehow, I ended up buying this one for about 30€, if my records are right. There is really not much I can say about it either - it is the exact opposite of my Venezuela 2 shirt.

The player in the picture above, Penaranda, was snapped up by Watford in 2016 and briefly later was apparently close to a move to Real Madrid. British and Spanish media called him a wonderkid back in 2016 and "the next big thing". Let's just say it didn't quite materialize. Watford kept on loaning him to places all over Europe (Malaga, Eupen, Sofia, Las Palmas), before he went to Boavista on a free transfer. After not playing a single match in Portugal he finally moved on to Sarajevo in Bosnia, where he is still playing. Not quite Real Madrid, I am afraid.
